Temelj obrazovnog sistema je os-
novna skola i tu se moraju izgraditi os-
novi i za informaticku pismenost i za sve
izrazenije informaticke aspekte u raznim
profesijama, kao i za budue profesionalce
u oblasti IT. Ovim dolazimo do potrebe
da se informaticko obrazovanje tretira kao
poseban opsteobrazovni sadrzaj, slicno kao
matematika i fizika koje ujedno razvijaju
odreene mentalne sposobnosti, doprinose
razumevanju sveta oko sebe, daju odreena
prakticno potrebna znanja i vestine, ali i
pripremaju najtalentovanije ake da se
profesionalno usmere prema oblastima
gde su predznanja iz matematike i fizike
posebno znacajna. Takoe smatram da se
informaticko obrazovanje u osnovnoj skoli
kao opsteobrazovni sadrzaj treba razvijati u
relaciji sa matematikom i fizikom. Za ovak-
vo pozicioniranje informatickog obrazova-
nja potrebno je promeniti odnos i od strane
kolega iz drugih oblasti koji su skloni da
informaticko obrazovanje vide prevashodno
kao informaticku pismenost koju cine vestine
korisenja tehnologije, ali i od strane kolega
iz oblasti IT koji su skloni da odu u drugu
krajnost prema tradicionalnom pristupu sti-
canja profesionalnih informatickih znanja i
vestina. Izmeu tradicionalne informaticke
pismenosti i tradicionalnog profesional-
nog osposobljavanja informaticara tre-
bamo sagledati prostor za opsteobrazovne
informaticke sadrzaje, a koji su primereni
generacijama roenim u digitalnom dobu.
Nase ministarstvo je potpuno svesno
znacaja obrazovanja za razvoj informacio-
nog drustva i ujedno potencijala tehnologi-
je u unapreenju obrazovanja, tako da je
jedan od najveih dosadasnjih projekata
ovog ministarstva upravo ,,Digitalna skola"
u okviru koga su gotovo sve osnovne skole
u Srbiji opremljene digitalnim kabinetima.
Pored toga smo ve tri godine za redom or-
ganizovali nagradni konkurs ,,Digitalni cas"
za nastavnike koji u svom radu koriste infor-
macione tehnologije. Ministarstvo spoljne i
unutrasnje trgovine i telekomunikacije e
nastaviti sa aktivostima u ovoj oblasti i sa
stanovista svoje nadleznosti e nastojati da
maksimalno doprinese unapreenju obra-
zovanja generalno, a posebno u oblasti in-
formacionih tehnologija.

The basis of the educational system is
the primary school and that is the place where
the foundation for the IT literacy and more
pronounced IT aspect in various professions
must be built. With this, we come to the need to
treat the IT education as a general education
content, similar to mathematics and physics
which simultaneously develop certain mental
skills, contribute to the understanding of
the surrounding world, provide specific
and practical knowledge and skills, but also
prepare the most talented pupils to da se focus
on the fields where basic knowledge from
mathematics and physics is crucial from the
professional point of view. I also think that the
IT education in primary school as a general
education content should be developed in
relation to mathematics and physics. This
position of IT education requires to change
the relations among colleagues from other
fields who tend to look at the IT education as
computer literacy made of technology skills,
but also among colleagues from the IT field
who are prone to going to the other extreme
when talking about the traditional approach
to gaining professional information knowledge
and skills. Between the traditional IT literacy
and traditional professional training of IT
specialists, we need to find space for general IT
education content appropriate for generations
born in the digital age.
Our Ministry is completely aware of the
importance of education for the development
of information society and at the same time of
the potential of technology in the promotion
of education, so one of the largest projects we
have realized is the project ,,Digital School"
which includes almost all primary schools
in Serbia equipped with digital cabinets.
In addition, for three years in a row, we
organized a competition "Digital Class" for
teachers who use information technologies
in their work. The Ministry of Foreign and
Domestic Trade and Telecommunications will
continue its activities in this field and from the
standpoint of its jurisdiction it will endeavour
to contribute to the improvement of education
in general, and especially in the IT field.
