EPIS (Council of European
Professional
Informatics
Societies ) held a micro-
conference on professional
ethics in Brussels, on 13th March 2014. The
aim of the meeting was to provide a forum for
members to discuss the position of national
informatics associations on ethics, as well as
how ICT practitioners should address ethical
considerations related to their profession.
Ethics forms a fundamental pillar of any
profession, and ICT is no different. However,
few undergraduate courses offer modules
on ethics, let alone require its study, leaving
ICT professionals unprepared; many ICT
advances often occur at rates faster than our
ability to comprehend, and ethical questions -
if considered at all - often get left behind.

CEPIS) je odrzao mikro konferenciju na temu
profesionalne etike u Briselu 13. marta 2014.
Cilj okupljanja je bio forum koji je clanovima
pruzio mogunost da razgovaraju o polozaju
nacionalnih informatickih drustava u vezi
sa etikom ali i o nacinu na koji informaticari
treba da postupaju sa etickim pitanjima koja
su povezana sa njihovom profesijom.
Etika predstavlja osnovu svake pro-
fesije, pa ni IKT nije izuzetak. Meutim,
malo predmeta na osnovnim studijama nudi
module u vezi sa etikom, a da ne spomi-
njemo njeno izucavanje, sto IKT strucnjake
ostavlja nepripremljene; mnogi napreci u
IKT-u dolaze znatno brze nego sto to uspe-
